How to write from Oracle Forms to Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ)? - MessageQ

We need to write an image we scanned and got to a Form (10g), to a Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ Ver 3 or 4 probably). The .Net application will read the queue and get the image. This is for a images transer between Oracle Forms and a .Net Application??
How to do this?? How do we write to MSMQ??

Hi,
This forum is for questions related to the Oracle MessageQ product, not Oracle Forms or Microsoft Message Queue.

Oracle Message Queue and .NET Interface

Guys,
Currently I am trying to use Oracle9i AQ in one of my .NET 2005 application. However, so far I have not found information whether Oracle 9i AQ has native interface and how to use them for .NET programatic environment.
I tried to get more information from oracle and other sites but not able to get enough information in this regard.
I will appreciate if anybody let me know their experience and help me to implement AQ with .NET 2005 framework.

Prasad,
Maybe the technical information is concealed in the XML sections of the web site - have you checked this page:
http://www.oracle.com/oramag/oracle/02-mar/o22xml.html
demo of distributed system w/ AQ : http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/xml/xdk_sample/xdkdemo_mesg.html
User's Guide: http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/appdev.920/a96587/toc.htm
I'd be interested to hear how your project turns out. I have not used this product myself, but am familiar with MSMQ.

Newbie: Advanced Queing sample...

Hello,
I'm new to Oracle AQ, so I'm researching whether or not this is what we want to use - we would like to setup a messaging queue to be accessed using web services and soap calls via the internet.
I see the advanced queuing sample for Oracle 9i, but we have installed the Oracle 10g database - I'm wondering if I can just install and run that sample as is? Or is their a better sample out there I can reference for the web service wrappers around the enqueue/dequeue messages, and how to set that up?
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a good sample app to reference for the developing the client app for referencing Oracle AQ?
Thanks,
Greg
You have to install the samples from the companion disk or download, but the samples are older than 10g. Also read the docs on this and you may find some answers to what you need to do.

Is it possible to consume .NET webservice in Oracle 8i Stored Proc. / Forms 6i ?

Dear All,
Since its very easy to develop Web Services in C# with .NET as well as in Apache AXIS, weve started dev. it to use with our web applications in JSP/ASP.NET. We use Tomcat as JSP Container for our web app.
We have products in Forms 6i using Oracle 8i deployed as C/S and over Web using IIS 5.
Is it possible in any way to consume these Web Services in Forms 6i or using Oracle 8i Stored Procedures. If so, please let us know some procedure to do that to consume a simple web service.
Yours,
Sankar.B
Sankar,
we plan to formally allow consuming web services (J2EE and .NET)from stored procedures, in upcoming major database release. In the mean time, as indicated in the latest Java stored procedure white paper, http://otn.oracle.com/tech/java/jsp/content.html - it is possible to load appropriate jars in OracleJVM and
callout external Web services; as a technology preview, we plan to provide instructions for doing that, on OTN.

for early testing, the white paper that i mentionned earlier provides some indication of which jars will be needed, at least
it might work for 8i but we will be looking at 9i DB R2 (J2SE 1.3 compatible VM)
will post instuctions and code sample, asap

ODP.NET and Oracle Advanced Queues

Does ODP.NET provide support for Oracle Advanced Queues? I know there are some special classes
available to Java from Oracle specifically tailored to manipulating Oracle Advanced Queues. Is this true in ODP.NET? For VB.NET, C#, Both?
Thanks,
Scott
Hi! I'm not a dev, but I know for sure ODP.NET does not support AQ. You might wanna have a look at Oracle Object for OLE (OO4O). It supports AQ and can be used in both VB.NET and C# through COM Interop. Of course, the performances will not be as good as ODP.NET tho.
Have a nice one.
