BAD_CERTIFICATE Alert - WebLogic Server - Clustering

hi,
I was able to configure Weblogic 9.2 cluster on 2 nodes and it was running okay. but now, when I started the server from Administration console of 1st server I get the following error message on Nodemanager's console of 2nd node...
<Bad_Certificate alert was recieved from 192.168.141.114 - 192.168.141.114. check the peer to determine why it rejected the certificate chain (trusted CA configuration, hostname verification). SSL debug tracing may be required to determine teh exact reason the certificate was rejected.>
javax.net.ssl.SSLKeyException:

In setDomainEnv.sh Add this property shold work
JAVA_OPTIONS="${JAVA_OPTIONS} ${JAVA_PROPERTIES} -Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerify=true

Since there are multiple reasons for this as explained in the error message, you should activate tracing on the SSL peer. If the other peer is a WLS instance, then follow this document http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs103/secmanage/ssl.html#wp1194435

Make sure you are running Nodemanager is plain mode. Go to nodemanager.properties file and make the following changes to it & you will not see the error any more. Thanks

Instead of disabling security, you need to see what the client is sending your server.
So add the ssl debug settings as Gera has suggested.

Cannot start soa_server1 and bam_server1

I install weblogic and soa suite 11g in win 2008. Due to another weblogic server running in that machine, I change the port number 7001 to 7022 when I create the domain.
I start up NodeManage in command line.
However, I cannot start soa_server1 and bam_server1 in EM and command line after I start the weblogic console.
I get error:
Status of start operation on server bam_server1 is TASK IN PROGRESS
Status of start operation on server bam_server1 is FAILED
Connection refused: connect. Could not connect to NodeManager. Check that it is running at localhost:5556.
--------------------log------------------------------------
javax.management.InstanceNotFoundException: Unable to contact MBeanServer for oracle.logging:type=LogQuery,name=bam_server1,Location=bam_server1
Use netstat -an | grep LISTEN | grep 5556 to check if the nodemanager is listening or not. Plz note that the nodemanager is not specific to domain but to the machine.
You can also try to shut down the servers completely. Start the Node Manager -> Start Admin Server -> Check the status of the node manager in the admin console and then start the managed server if everything is fine
Thank you.
But I am new to Weblogic. Where can I check the status of Node Manager at weblogic console?
But I am new to Weblogic. Where can I check the status of Node Manager at weblogic console? On Weblogic Admin console, goto Environment-->Machines and click on the name of your nodemanager. Now goto Monitoring tab --> Node Manager Status (subtab)
Here you can find the current status of this node manager.
Regards,
Anuj
Thank you .
The status is Inactive. How to active it?
I start the Node Manager in command line. But the status is still inactive.

Regards,

I think you need to enroll the newly created domain into the nodemanager.
Run nmEnroll() using the following as an example:
nmEnroll('C:/Oracle/Middlewareps2/user_projects/domains/soa_domain',
'C:/Oracle/Middlewareps2/wlserver_10.0/common/nodemanager')
Running nmEnroll() ensures that the correct NodeManager user and password token are supplied to each managed server. Once these are available for each managed server, you can use nmConnect() in a production environment.
Note: You must run nmEnroll() on each machine that is running a managed server. Additionally, you should run nmEnroll() for each domain directory on each machine.
I am reading this doc now. Is it only for deploying applications from Sun Microsystems?
I am using Windows 2008.
This is a Node manager admin document for all platforms.
Regards,
Anuj
I still cannot start SOA and BAM.
I change the nodemanager.properties and set StartScriptEnabled=true. Then I run setNMProps.cmd from $mw_home\oracle_common\common\bin
I get message as follow:

Then, I run : E:\Oracle20101230\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\bin>startNodeManager.cmd
I get message as follow:

Plz see my earlier example.. you need to use the forward slash(/) in the nmenroll command and not backslash(\)
nmEnroll('E:\Oracle20101230\Middleware\user_proje
cts\domains\soa_domain6','E:\Oracle20101230\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\common\node
manager')
replace '\' with '/' and check
Thank you. nmEnroll works after changing to forward slash.
But I still cannot start soa_server1 and bam_server1.
Status of start operation on server bam_server1 is TASK IN PROGRESS

Hi Sujnan,
You receive this error, because you are trying to use MapViewer 11ea with Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (9.0.4.0.0). As I know, MapViewer 11ea is tested only with Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.3).

configuration process failed while installing 11g

Hello,
I am trying to install obiee 11.1.1.6 on windows 7 home edition with service pack 1.
So i installed MS Loopback adapter and configured it with IP4 as 10.10.10.10 and also made an entry in the hostfile.
Now when i ping the host from the cmd it ping and gives the IP properly.
I installed Java 1.6 with update 32. JDK and JRE gave both the path in PATH system variable in the environment variable as C:\Java\jdk1.6.0_32\bin;C:\Java\jre6\bin.
When i ping from cmd i get the java version properly.
I checked that the TEMP file has no space. It was already set in the user variable "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp" in the environment variable
.When i ping the temp it comes properly as C:\Users\ABC\AppData\Local\Temp
Theni installed Oracle Database 11.2
Then RCU
Then OBIEE 11.1.1.6.Here in the configuration i get the error "Create Domain failed".The inventory log file just shows this error.
I really don't know where is the problem.
Thanks
Check this url,It may help you
http://obieelive.blogspot.com/2012/06/obiee-11g-installation-failed-at.html
Mark as correct if it is helpful.
Hi .Would you please check the PATH Variable and see if the java is installed in Program files (x86).If so please edit that variable and remove (x86) with space after Program files and deinstall it and try to re install and It should work.
Thanks
hi,
Thanks for the reply.I had already installed directly in C drive and i have set that path in PATH variable and not inside Program files or Program x86 files.
Thanks
Would you please show the log once. Can you please check whether any any folders has spaces in it.
hi,
I was setting acc the link given i found one thing till nslookup command everything was alright.
When i give nslookup hostname in the cmd i get the following result.
I have set in the host file
abc 10.10.10.10 (abc is my system name)
C:\Users\abc>nslookup abc
Server: UnKnown
Address: 192.168.1.1
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: abc
Address: 62.61.95.1.
Is this correct because no where i can see 10.10.10.10
---------------------------------------
And also
C:\Users\Abc>nslookup 10.10.10.10
Server: UnKnown
Address: 192.168.1.1
*** UnKnown can't find 10.10.10.10: Non-existent domain
---------------------------------------
Actually i am not sure the exact correct output it should give but can u please let me know if the output is ok?
When i just do ping hostname it pings properly.
When i give ipconfig i get this
C:\Users\abc>ipconfig

Thanks
Can you please ping your Computer name so it should return
Lookback ip address If it is configured correctly
go to cmd prompt
ping computer name
it should return 10.10.10.10
Please let me know the updates.
Thanks

One question i have here:-
What is your system type?

SSL Handshake exception NodeManager with Custom Identity-Trust

Hi everyone.
I've created java identity keystore with keytool, sign it with my openssl CA server. Everything seem to be okay with WebLogic Server SSL. My domain work well with that keystore and that is currently running with domain administration port 9002.
But the problem occurs when I use that custom keystore identity/trust for NodeManager. On the host app.tinhvan.vnet, I run some weblogic server instances, private key on that host has alias "app.tinhvan.vnet" (cn=app.tinhvan.vnet).
This is configuration on file nodemanager.properties
