NoSuchMethodError while calling webservice that uses control - weblogic.developer.interest.webservices.general(Archived)

I have a Weblogic Web Service that calls another Weblogic Web Service through the use of a Web Service Control.
(Both the services are deployed in Weblogic 10.0)
My Web Serivce works fine when deployed on Admin Server, but when it is deployed in managed server, it throws a NoSuchMethodError when i try to call this Service. (Through weblogic test client or any other web service testing tool).
I have verified that it is because of the presence of web service control, but i dont have any resolution for that.
Here below is the stack trace of the error that i am getting.

I am trying to install BI server on weblogic. it say obiee needs oc4j and opmn and oracle_home. I think weblogic does not contain oc4j and opmn how can i install obiee with weblogic
I know that analytic.war can be deployed on weblogic but analytic.war is more like presentation I want BI server to be installed on weblogic
also when i try to download oas i get weblogic to download. Can anyone explain this to me.
regards
Nick
The following steps provide information on configuring to use WebLogic Server with Oracle BI EE. See the WebLogic Server documentation for additional information.
Create a new WebLogic Server domain using a JDK such as Sun JDK 1.5.x or higher, in place of JRockit.
Create an exploded archive directory from the analytics.ear or analytics.war file using the new domain, by following these steps:
Copy the analytics.ear or analytics.war file in the \OracleBI\web directory to a destination directory, as shown in the following example.
-mkdir c:mydestination\BIEE\
-cp c:\OracleBI\web\analytics.war to c:mydestination\BIEE\
Manually unpack the analytics.ear or analytics.war file using a jar command, as shown in the following example.
jar -xvf manual\generic\analytics.war
By running the jar command, you create a directory called "analytics." This is the directory where the application will be deployed.
Note the following about exploded archive directories: Do not deploy the analytics.war or analytics.ear file on the WebLogic Server by uploading it from the WebLogic console, because the console deploys the application (or Web module) in an archived file format.
If the BI Presentation Services Server runs on a different machine from the WebLogic Server, then edit the web.xml file for the WebLogic Server to account for this difference.
In a Web browser, start the WebLogic Administration Console, as shown in the following example.
http://hostname:7001/console
If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit.
In the left pane of the Administration Console, click Deployments.
Install the deployment as an application by completing the following steps:
In the right pane, click Install.
Select c:mydestination\BIEE and click Next.
Select Install this deployment as an application and click Next.
Select I will make the deployment accessible from the following location from Source accessibility.
Click Finish.
To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Start the service by clicking Deployments, then analytics.
Nick, the BI Server processes can not run in Weblogic or any Web Application Server. They are stand alone processes that need to run in your Operating System of choice. This is by design and I don't think anyone would want to run a server process like the BI Server inside a Web Application Server as it will not perform well.
it means that Bi SERVER can be deployed without application server. am i right
To be precise it means the BI Server is not a Web Application and therefore is not "deployed" but installed in the OS like any other application. However a functional OBIEE installation requires both BI Server components and the Web Applications to be deployed to work. I suggest you start by reading the Installation and Deployment guides.
I have read the documentation thanks for guiding me

Why are you posting the same question twice?
sorry for that my connection just went out. so submitted two time.
why am i getting this exception i am runing weblogic on port 7001 and presentation layer on port 9704
presentation layer on port 97049704 is usually the port used by the default OC4J instance. By "presentation layer" you mean Presentation Services process? If so are sure you are running that on port 9704? (I don't think you are as this requires changes in the Presentation Services config file. Also is your Weblogic installation in the same server as where the Presentation Services is running or a different server?
Hi,
Nick
After the deployment, you should also start the BIEE services, including Oracle BI Java Host/Oracle BI Presentation Server/Oracle BI Server
_Analytics wrote:

Thanks!

Planning web server - java.lang.ClassCastException:

I installed Planning and configured web server on Unix. Everything went smooth (no errors) at any stage. After I started the the webserver using (startHyperionPlanning.sh), web server started fine, no exceptions logged during boot/startup of web server (WebLogic 9.2).
I can not sign-in to Planning application using URL http://server:8300/HyperionPlanning/LogOn.jsp, I can't sign-on to application, I get a blank page after I enter user id/password. Web server log file "HyperionPlanning.log" has the following exception lists -

I guess its cribbing about a library, but doesn't list any. I don't remember seeing combination of "java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError" before. I did change config.xml content as per troubleshooting guide, I tried to change JAVA_HOME being used (made it use the one delivered with hyperion) and also added Planning/bin folder in PATH. None of these helped.
I know everything else is working fine - essbase/shared services/eas/epma etc..also if I have planning on Windows I could sign-in fine. Issue is only when web is on Unix.
Anybody seen this error?
Please check if you have lib path (directory containing .so files) added to planning startup script. UnsatisfiedLinkError relates to .so files not available in the path.

Exception: Cluster address must be set when clustering is enabled

Hi,
I've created a simple web service and deployed to a cluster. When i invoke the WSDL url (http://localhost/webservice/MyService?WSDL) through the browser i get the enclosed exception (listed at the bottom)
I can easily solve this issue by explicitly stating a cluster address witihin the admin console ( Environment->Clusters->Cluster Address:), however the documentation states that i do not need to do this. ( http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs100/webserv/setenv.html#wp220521 )
Can someone clarify that indeed I need to explicitly declare a Cluster Address when deploying and invoking web services within a clustered environment.
Thanks

Hello,
It appears that the product doc is not clear on this. Although it is not required to set address of the front-end address for router or load balancer, but it is required to set the cluster address. So, what you came across is not a bug per say, but what is expected by design. I believe you're familiar with how to set up cluser and configure addressed, but you can check out http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs103/cluster/setup.html#wp751583 for further details on it.
Regards,
Pyounguk
Thanks for confirming what i thought.

weblogic command-line options not recognizing

Hi
We are using weblogic 9.2 MP3 version on solaris. Application is deployed in clustered environment with 2 managed servers. We are passing a command-line option –“Dconfigroot=…/abc.properties” and updated the start-up script accordingly.
I have observed that some times in one of managed server, the above property is not passing or recognizing by server. In result we are getting the following error.

Can your developers tell us what's causing this error?
Offcourse after re-starting the server, application is working fine.
Please advise why this is happening.
