I get this message:

Anybody know why

Your error messages is for BI Publisher. Are you having issues with BI Applications? Also the standard password is "SADMIN".

Login to BI Publisher

I can't login to BI Publisher. When I first installed the BI apps I could but now I cannot. I am using the username/password combination Administrator/SADMIN. Any thoughts
Hello!
Try the user Administrator/Administrator or Administrator without password.
The publisher doesn't nessecairly have the same password as Oracle BI Answers.
Hi,
Try to connect with Administrator/Administrator also send the error message.
Regards
When I use Administrator/Administrator I don't get an error message but when I use Administrator/SADMIN I get the error

But are you able to log in then with Administrator/Administrator?
No
What do you get when you log in as Administrator/Administrator. The error message that you have shown above means that BI Publisher is not able to log in. It could be because your BI Server is not running or that you have changed the BI Server password. If you have installed BI Apps which has the Administrator password of SADMIN, try changing the password to Administrator and see whether BIP works.
Thanks,
Venkat

I had the same problem, are you using BIEE, i tried to make a new rpd file and it would not let me log in, i am still trying to find an answer to as why you cannot change the admin password and why when you change rpd file the Web Front end does not like it

And when I go to BI publisher directly and use the username/password combo administrator/administrator i get no response but when I use the administrator/SADMIN i get the:

I have received the same error. Did you find a resolution?
Hi all...
I had the same problem. Finally had to uninstall BI and start at new and read the instructions in RUL below. I think the most important was checking whether these files were correctly:
1. {OracleBI}\xmlp\XMLP\Admin\Configuration\xmlp-server-config.xml
2. {OracleBI}\xmlp\XMLP\Admin\Security\principals.xml
3. {oc4j_bi}\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver\xmlpserver\WEB-INF\xmlp-server-config.xml
May be simply the problem is about security. I changed it to XDO, and runs.
It´s worth the pain...

Any help will be highly appreciated!
Solved
Has this problem been solved ? Because, we experienced it as well...
Would you tell us the solution, please !
We have basic installation of BI publisher 10.1.3.4.0 for windows 2003 server and we try to put repository into oracle xml db 10gR2.
The xdb repository is based on file repository. We created new users and discover that only user with role admin or developer can login to the BIpublisher.
When we use file repository even user with no role assigned can login to the publisher. But when we switch to xdb repository no one can login except user with admin or developer roles.
Error msg appears only in browser:
< The server can not be used due to a configuration error, please contact the administrator. If you are the administrator, please consult BI Publisher user guide for proper configuration.

Is this a bug or we need configuration tuning?
In bipublisher documantation there is nothing about such issue.
We will be happy to receive any help !
This is a bug which is described in note : 873596.1 in metalink.oracle.com

SSO enabling question on OBIEE

Hi,
I have added a few users in IDM Provisioning console <http://abc.us.oracle.com:7777/oiddas> . These users were also added in the Repository file. However, I still can't login to OBIEE by using these users.
The other issue with the SSO is this page is broken:
