HTML DB

Hi everyone,
Is it possible to declare a local variable, a global variable ?
Thank you very much. Bye.
Eric,
Yes.
Of course, you may need to elaborate on what you wish to do with this, and if you are referring to PL/SQL variables or HTML DB session state.

Thank you very much Joel. I'll be back later to give you more detail about my request.

Portlet session getting shared between users?

Hi,
As part of implementing pagination in my JPDK Portlet, I stored the page number in the ProviderSession (ProviderSession session = pUser.getSession();).
But I am seeing this session variable available to the different users also. Like for the users in different session.
Kindly bail me out from this problem.
Thanks,
Sasi bhushan
Hi,
Have you changed the provider.xml session value to 'true'. If not try that and check your application.
By default the session will be set to 'false'. May be this could be the problem

Hi,
I have changed the provider.xml before itself. I am getting problem even though the values is set to true.
Thanks,

Hi,
After getting the value from the session object. Have you invalidated the session object in the end of the program ?
Try this and let us know.

Vijay.B
What do you mean "at the end of the program"? It it a COBOL program?
Hi,
Please check with the following things.
1. Make the session settings in provider.xml as false. then try
2. Make the session variable to null after getting all the values from your session on your JSP.

Vijay.B
Hi,
Another thought on this.
Please check where you have declared your session object in the jsp.
If you have declared inside the declaration block please put it in the scriplet block and then try to run you application.

JitenHi Jiten
Use Application Items - for accessing its value in only PLSQL for that session.
If you want to access their values in javascript as well as PLSQL then use hidden items on Page 0
Thanks
