OCP 9i database track doubt

Hello,
Has oracle released any notice about the expiry date for taking up OCP 9i DBA track certification.........?
If YES what's the deadline....?
regards,
Krishnaraj.
So far, I have found no information on the official certification site about a deadline.
Check for yourself at http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=39
Tradition tells us the deadline will coincide with the end of extended support of the product. That information is on page 20 of http://www.oracle.com/support/library/brochure/oracle-lifetime-support.pdf

Dates for "Oracle Database 11g: Performance Tuning" exam

Hi!
Today Oracle posted info about the new Oracle Database 11g Performance Tuning exam needed for the new expert certification:
http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=41&p_exam_id=1Z0_054#2
It says that pre-registration for the beta exam starts today, however, it does not say when the beta phase starts and ends. Does anyone know?
Thanks,
Marcus
Nothing has been announced so far about the close date of this Beta Exam.
Oracle Certification Program Beta Exams

Hi Marcus,
Please take a look on the prometric website 2test.com
Today I controlled and the beta exam is present in the list, but the exam can only be booked in 17th December and up to 16th January 2009.
So you should be able to register for your exam as it is present in the prometric website under the oracle tests.
On the address given by Hussein it stands now :
Beta Pre-Registration start date from Nov 19, 2008
Good luck for preparing your beta exam.
Regards,
Hub
Oracle has the right to extend the beta exam period, so I suggest you keep an eye on the link referenced above for any further updates.
Hello Hussein
Yes true, I remember it for the OCE and Linux exams they rescheduled the end date several times. As far as I know it is related to the number of participants and the given feedback.
I've also participated to several other exams, and I must admit that it is a long and hard process to get through. When I got the feedback 10 weeks after the beta period closure, I had to review nearly all the topics to get the exams passed the second time. But this it is a cheap and good exam preparation.
What about you Hussein? Do you think that's trivial?
Cheers,
Hub
March 31, 2009 is the current tentative end date for the 1Z1-054 beta exam. This date is subject to change.

10G OCM when will it be retired?

Dear certification friends
When will be the 10G OCM be retired?
Is it so that right after the 11g OCM is available, or we still able to take the 10g OCM and until when?
Could only find that OCM world wide schedule : http://education.oracle.co.uk/html/oracle/28US/SCHED_SP_OCM.htm .
I would like to take it next year, will it still be available for next year?
Thanks.
Regards,
Hub
Hi there,
I am wondering if you have recieved any update on this via any other channel?
I am also keen to take this exam next year and obviously it is very good to know what the retirement status/plans of OCM 10g is/are.
As for the OCM 11g, having seen the 11g certification pages OCA, OCP and Perf.Tuning CE have been in beta status (until June 30 2009) as well as 11g OCM exam information (exam objectives or hands-on course requirements) are not even available, so I suspect even Oracle do not know what will happen to OCM exams.
((( I really hope OCM 10g will be available as long as 10g lifetime support is current - According to [this document|http://www.oracle.com/support/library/brochure/lifetime-support-technology.pdf] the end of the extended support is July 2013. But this thought is enclosed in triple brackets )))
Regards,
Jozsef
Jozsef,
I'm glad you brought this back up. I thought that I had responded to this but I guess I did not. Hub, sorry about that.
We do not have any current plans to retire the 10g OCM. We expect that the 10g OCM exam will still be available in 2010. I cannot tell you how long it will be available, but at this time we believe it will be available at least in 2010. However, this is not a guarantee. And as always, we will announce any certification exam or path retirement at least 3 months in advance. Please be sure that you are signed up to receive Oracle Certification Program's monthly eMagazine that contains information on what's going on with the program.

Sorry I can't be more specific than that, but this is the most information I have at this time.

Brandye,
Thanks very much for the feedback.
I am relieved that I do not need to rush with the preparation and I can take this exam next year...well...at least I will try it.
Perhaps this is not the best forum thread but I will ask what the earliest date is when the OCM 10g exam dates will be available for next year.
Regards,
Jozsef
Jozef,
Since these events are scheduled thru Oracle University, you would need to check with them on the earliest date that you can view a schedule for your area. http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=225.

1Z1-102 Weblogic 11g OCA - Beta Exam end date?

Hello,
I did this exam on September 14th, I choosed this date because according to this link (http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=182#2) the beta exam was suposed to end on September 17th.
But about 2 days ago I noticed that this exam was still "open" and I verified it at Pearson VUE site. I was hopping that my results will be ready by end of November or at starts of December, but knowing that the beta exam is still open that won't be happend soon.
Do someone know when this beta exam is going to be closed so the production exam could start to be prepared?
Thanks, Harim Márquez.

Thanks, Harim Márquez. It's quite 'normal' for betas to be extended ... (if more tests are needed to validate the exam) ... though I suspect in the case the web site was not updated in synchronization. It will still take 12 weeks from beta close for production exam and for results to be published. I exam Certification Forum Moderator will answer this in due course.
So sorry for the delay in responding. This beta exam ended on October 29. We hope to have the scores out by end of Dec, but with the upcoming winter holidays, the scores may be pushed out til early January. Web pages are updated as we have more info. Thank you for your patience!
